For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang in Colts neck, New Jersey for sale in Colts Neck, NJ

1 of 21
Vehicle Description I am selling my 65 Mustang convertible that I have owned for twenty years.
The car had 71,000 miles when I bought it in 2002 and has been garaged ever since.
It is a rare combination, number matching original V-8 289 2bbl with a factory 4-speed and front disc brakes in Ivy Green.
The engine was rebuilt at 85,000 miles.
Other mechanical work includes new clutch less than 1,000 miles ago, new shocks and rear springs, radiator, and exhaust.
The car was stripped and painted with lacquer in 2007.
Prior to repainting, any rust was cut out and replaced with new metal.
The car is rust free and solid.
The engine runs excellent, and the car takes the road well and is a pleasure to drive.
Brakes stop nicely.
Clutch and transmission shift good, and the suspension feels tight.
It has a mild Flowmaster dual exhaust that sounds great.
The interior is in very nice condition.
The convertible top is older; however, it is not ripped and goes up and down well.
(I never use it since it is always garaged!) This is a great weekend / car show cruiser that can be restored to a show car with minimal effort.
The only reason I am selling it is because I just don't drive it much anymore and I would like to see a new owner use and cherish it.
I'm not interested in trades, consignment, or low-ball offers.
The asking price is way below Hagerty's valuation for a #3 Good condition vehicle which is included with the pictures.
Please don't contact me unless this is exactly what you have been searching for.
Let's not waste each other's time.
